Dr Keong is highly-qualified general surgeon who has undertaken extensive post-fellowship training in upper gastrointestinal surgery. After completing his training through Austin Health and obtaining his general surgery fellowship in 2013, he subsequently underwent extensive sub-specialty training in upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery at major Australian centres including Box Hill Hospital and St George Hospital (Sydney).
Dr Ben strongly believes in close collaboration with both the patient and the health team to achieve optimal results. He is a keen advocate for a laparoscopic (keyhole) approach to most operations when feasible.
