We are creatures of habit
Meet Fenella – a beautiful 27 yr old teacher from Bright (country Victoria) who found herself to be at a heavy weight of 165 kilos a few months ago. This was limiting her ability to work as a teacher being on feet all day, with a sore back.
She hated all her clothes and would feel awful when she saw her own reflection, being always aware of feeling like the biggest person in a room. Fenella already had high blood pressure and was worried about being able to have children.
She felt stuck …almost having become a creature of her own “self sabotaging” habits!

So what’s a person to do? Are we doomed to live on automatic pilot, driven by our lower brain and our habits?
We do have a choice: We can mindlessly play out problematic behaviors over and over again, becoming essentially prisoners of our own habits. Or we can step back, use our higher brains, and reflect on our actions. That’s when we “Shift”.
